A Virginian Resident Remembers How TV’s Jeopardy Changed Her Life.

In 1967, ‘Jeopardy’ was a relatively new daytime TV game show, and Barbara McKenney was a young stay-at-home mom raising three small children. Intrigued by the new show, Barbara decided to take the test necessary to qualify as a contestant. She learned later that she would appear on the show the following summer. Though she was looking forward to competing on nationwide television, she never imagined how that one appearance would change the direction of her life.
