FOX 5 Live Zone Interviews Jenna Ballard on The Longest Day Walk for Alzheimer’s

Jenna Ballard, Director of Sales & Marketing at The Virginian, joined Fox 5 Live Zone to talk about The Longest Day for Alzheimer’s, an annual day of fundraising and awareness that takes place on the summer solstice. June is also Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month. The Virginian pledged $2,500 to the Alzheimer's Foundation and organized a half-mile walk around the campus with friends, family, and the local community to raise awareness and further donations.

Residents were joined by Fairfax County’s Pets on Wheels, providing an exciting pet therapy opportunity with four-legged friends including the dogs Peter, Simba, Rosie, Clint, and Leyla. The power of pet therapy can be truly special, as Ms. Ballard reflects, “If [residents] are having a challenging day…having a pet to cuddle with brings a smile to their face”.
